Dr. Janelle Berridge, NP, PhD
Co-Founder & Medical Director at Inner U Health & Wellness
Dr. Janelle Berridge is a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner and the Medical Director at Inner U Health & Wellness. Her passion lies in empowering individuals to achieve optimal health through a personalized, natural approach rooted in Functional Medicine.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from New York University in 2016, establishing a strong foundation in patient care. Driven by a desire to deepen her understanding of holistic health, she pursued her master's and doctoral degrees at Columbia University, specializing in family practice and advanced clinical research. Her clinical experience spans both hospital and outpatient settings, where she has provided care to diverse and underserved populations, gaining valuable insight into the multifaceted nature of health and wellness.
After several years practicing traditional medicine, Dr. Berridge became increasingly passionate about addressing the root causes of illness rather than merely managing symptoms. This led her to expand her expertise into Functional Medicine, a patient-centered approach that seeks to understand and treat the underlying factors contributing to health issues. She is also extensively trained in Natural Hormone Replacement Therapy for both men and women, having completed specialized training under Dr. Neil Rousier. This expertise allows her to craft individualized treatment plans that restore hormonal balance naturally and safely.
Her clinical philosophy is grounded in evidence-based practice, and she is committed to staying at the forefront of medical advancements to ensure her patients receive the most current and effective care. She believes in empowering her patients through education and collaboration, guiding them toward sustainable lifestyle changes through nutrition, exercise, and holistic therapies.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Dr. Berridge is an avid gym enthusiast and prioritizes a healthy lifestyle through consistent exercise and mindful nutrition. She believes that a balanced approach to wellness is essential for long-term vitality and happiness.
She is honored to serve as Medical Director at Inner U and looks forward to working with patients on their journey to optimal health. When not practicing medicine, she enjoys mentoring future healthcare professionals and continuing her education to provide the most innovative, evidence-based care possible.
